Ephermal art using dogs and hay and a camcorder and water and music at a pond.

I used this song to help soundtrack my ephermal art project. I wanted to use different textures as well as experiment with water surface tension and reflection. My dogs played a big part in this video helping me not have to get into the water very much to create different movements across the surface.

Post Typography: LEED

Post Typography is a couple of Baltimore based dudes who have a design firm. I try and keep up with their portfolio and really enjoy their work. Recently they worked with the U.S. Green Building Council. Here's an example of some of their work. Click on the picture to view some more.

Ford finds buyer for Wixom plant, will be used as renewable energy park

Ford's abandoned plant in Wixom, Michigan, is getting a new lease on life. The factory originally opened way back in 1957 during the glory years of the American automotive industry and it encompasses a massive 320 acres (4.7 million square-feet). By the fall of 2011, the Wixom plant won't really have much to do with cars, becoming instead the largest renewable energy park in the United States.

Australians have overtaken Americans as the world's biggest individual producers of carbon dioxide, which is blamed for global warming, a risk consultancy says.

Snake with foot found in China

This doesn't have anything to do with sustainability but I think it is cute.

Cement Stream

Last week when I was walking back to the parking lot I noticed this stream of dried concrete heading toward this drainage ditch. I'm sure a little bit of it went down the drain unfortunately.
This could've been easily avoided if the people working down there would've had some better situational awareness.

Hiking Treasures

I found a couple of old bottles while hiking in Seneca Park yesterday. I'm fairly certain these are old Budweiser bottles, both of them have the Anheuser-Busch logo on them. Anyhow, I think they're cute. They had been there for a while I reckon. I've never seen any Budweiser bottles in this shape before.
